Safeguarding

The Pilgrims Ways Churches, take their responsibility for Safeguarding seriously. For us the protection of vulnerable children and adults from abuse of any kind, be that physical, sexual or mental is of the utmost importance.

We believe all God’s children have a right to be protected from harm, and follow the National Church guidelines. However we recognise no procedures can replace good training, sensitivity and a recognition not everyone feels the same. Whilst clear and robust procedures are essential to safeguarding, we know it is people who protect, not the procedures themselves. Our aim is to create within The Pilgrims Way Churches a culture of informed vigilance, for which we may on occasion need your help.

If you, or someone you know, raises concerns you can contact the Vicar, or one of our dedicated Safeguarding Officers to discuss your concerns. Alternatively you can seek further guidance through our Diocesan Safeguarding Advisors, whose details are available via this link
